Bradco's Tapered Division has On-Line Support for Plans & Specs - We have internet support in each of our offices and subscribe to McGraw-Hill Construction Network and also other plan services throughout our regions. This allows us greater access to projects bidding in your market and gives you even faster turnaround time. This technology not only saves time but also eliminates the cost of shipping plans and specs via overnight or regular mail. Be sure to contact us before you send in your next set of plans, chances are that it's available on-line and we'll take care of the rest!

Upon receipt of your fax, plans & specs, or E-mail, we will provide you with the most complete tapered quote in the industry. Our Tapered System quotes provide the roofing contractor with all information contractors need to complete their bid:

  • Type of  Tapered Materials
  • Slopes of Tapered System & Crickets
  • Tapered Roof Area
  • Minimum and Maximum thickness
  • Base Layers & Overlay Insulation if applicable
  • Average and / or Minimum R-Values
  • Total squares of materials included
  • Total squares application included
  • Conceptual Tapered Layout

Our typical job turnaround time is 1-2 days, and many jobs are completed the same-day. After we design the initial quote, changes and alternate specifications are made easily and the project will remain on file. As with any tapered quote, some basic information other than the roof plan is needed. With any project submitted, please include the following:

  • Basic overall image of roof plan with locations of any interior roof drains, interior roof areas, gutters, etc.
  • If the project is submitted via fax, please list perimeter dimensions as many fax transmissions fail to retain actual scale.
  • Type of tapered material needed and manufacturer if applicable.
  • Minimum starting thickness. This will determine the amount of flat fill insulation required for the system.
  • Slope of tapered systems and/or crickets needed.
  • Any minimum or average R-Value requirements.
  • Any base layers or overlay insulation to be included with tapered quote.

A couple of tips for sending plans via e-mail: Bradco Tapered can do complete take-offs from plans sent in either a .TIF or .DXF format. The .TIF is the easiest to send and have made. Simply call around to your local reprographics business and ask if they have a large format scanner. If so, they can easily scan your blueprint or roof plan and e-mail it directly to us with a quick note concerning the tapered specs. Bradco's software currently supports that following formats:

  • TIFF (CCITT Group 3 (1d) Modified Huffman compression)
  • TIFF (CCITT Group 4 (2d) Fax compression)

An alternate method to submit drawings electronically is by using the .DXF or .DWG format. This is a drawing file created by AutoCAD software and can be e-mailed in the same manner.

Once we complete your tapered quote, you will receive a fax with all the information necessary for bid and a copy will be sent to your local Bradco salesperson. Visit the Contact Us page to find the tapered project manager nearest you.
